Financial Aid

Baton Rouge Lutheran School, with the support of Trinity Lutheran Church, established a tuition assistance program to help families afford the costs of a Christian education. We hope that no family will be prevented from sending their child to Baton Rouge Lutheran due to financial consideration, but our funds are limited. If you are interested in tuition assistance we advise you to apply for admission as early as possible for the next school year.

We want to make Christ-centered education available to as many families as possible. Each year Baton Rouge Lutheran School is able to provide funds for tuition assistance. (Our school does not participate in any state voucher program.) All financial aid is awarded based on demonstrated need and is assessed through an independent, third-party service provider.

Priority for tuition assistance awards will be given applicants who complete both the admission, enrollment, and tuition assistance processes for the following school year by April 1. (Tuition assistance applications are accepted from enrolled students only. Your child must be accepted before you apply for assistance.)

Families seeking tuition assistance are responsible for submitting required financial documentation and paying the modest fee charged by Confidential Financial Analysis (CFA). (CFA is a national firm that assists schools by evaluating submitted financial information and recommending award levels of need-based tuition assistance.  All aspects of the financial aid process for your family are confidential.)  Information provided to the school principal is handled in strictest confidence and we require that financial aid awards to your family remain confidential, known only to you and school administrative staff.

Tuition assistance reduces tuition costs only. CFA recommendations generally result in a 10%-35% reduction of tuition. Each family will remain responsible for registration and other fees, as well as any portion of tuition not covered through tuition assistance. Each year, families must reapply for assistance using the same assessment process. Due to changes in family financial situations and resources available, families may receive awards that are greater or lower than the previous year.

Need-based tuition assistance guidelines and application forms will be available from the school principal at the time of the family interview. (The interview is scheduled after the Application for Enrollment, accompanying payment, and all supporting documentation are received.)
