Special Voters Meeting
April 6, 2025, following the 11 a.m. service
The Call Committee is excited to request a special voters meeting of the Congregation to share recent developments and to ask for your vote of approval. Thus far, our process has included several interviews with current Pastors and discussions with Southern District leadership with the goal that God would reveal the man he has chosen to be the Associate Pastor at Trinity. We believe that God has revealed His chosen path for our Congregation.
We would like to propose two men from Trinity to enter the LCMS Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) Program. Concordia Seminary’s SMP- Program is a four-year, state-of-the-art distance education program that prepares men for specific pastoral ministries in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Upon acceptance into the program, the students start their vicarage immediately at the location or congregation where they will continue to serve following ordination. While taking classes through Concordia Seminary, they work with a local pastor-supervisor who is responsible for tutoring, advising, encouraging, and overseeing their vicarage and academic work.
We believe these two men, who are eager to complete this program, will serve Trinity and the kingdom very well. We look forward to providing more details about the program and candidates at the meeting April 6th.
