Revelation Sermon Series–Week 14 Preview

With the devil’s political beast and false prophet (aka the beast of the earth, prostitute, and Babylon) now judged and destroyed, the Church triumphant and the angels of heaven break forth into the Hallelujah chorus: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God” (Rev 19:1). This is the same scene that we have already seen depicted back in Revelation 7 of the worship service following the end of the world. However, now we see the additional aspect of God’s justice and how all praise, glory, and credit are only due to the Lord, for “His judgments are true and just” (Rev. 19:2). Finally, the Bride of Christ (the Church) is ready for what she has been preparing and waiting for, “the marriage feast of the Lamb” (Rev. 19:7).
