Monday Night Worship Service Update

Do you ever have to miss church on Sunday mornings and wish you could make it up? If you do, you are not alone. One of the things that I truly do love about Trinity is that we have an evening service on Monday nights for just such occasions. This service was originally started for shift workers who were not able to attend on Sunday mornings, for the folks that prefer evening services, and for those who are out of town on Sundays. It truly is a blessing! However, as Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas have continued to grow, the traffic issues have really put a damper on the Monday night service. This is especially evident in the winter months when it gets dark much earlier.

Over the last year, the elders and I have been asking the question, “If only there was a way to accommodate everyone’s needs and make the service accessible to the whole church, year round!” Well, after much prayer, research, and conversations with folks who attend on Monday night, it turns out there was a solution in plain sight the whole time. This July 6th, we are moving the Monday night service to Sunday night with summer and winter hours! During the summer’s extended daylight hours, we will begin our evening worship service at 6:30pm. However, during the winter months we will adjust the start time back to 4:00pm so that we are finished in time to drive home in the twilight. It is our prayer that this change will better serve our whole congregation and be a true blessing to everyone.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

God’s blessings!
