Mission Work in China
An update from Carol Halter, one of our supported missionaries
Dear Rev. Crowe and Members of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Thank you very much for your continued support of me as a missionary to the Chinese people. I am so grateful to you for your donations.
As usual at the beginning of this year we held the large New Year’s Outreach for street sleepers and the underprivileged at Concordia Lutheran Church and School in Kowloon. Following up on the New Year’s Outreach Program, we started a fellowship group at Concordia Lutheran Church for senior citizens. Since then, we have continued to hold these meetings twice a month. We are now working hard on plans for the next New Year’s Outreach Program.

Sharing God’s Word with the Senior Citizens’ Group
Lately Dr. Brian Gauthier, the OIM Managing Director- Global Mission Operations, came to Hong Kong. I had the privilege of introducing him to LCHKS President Dr. Alan Yung, as well as showing him around some of the churches, schools, and social LCHKS social centers.

What I live for is to introduce Chinese people to the Lord Jesus Christ so that the Holy Spirit can work faith in their hearts. It is so wonderful that we have this great message of salvation to share with everyone—that Jesus lived the perfect life on this earth and then died on the cross for our sins. Because He rose from the dead, we know He is alive and is always with us. Yes, God, “Who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)
With love and appreciation,
Carol, Missionary to Chinese People
