Missionary Carol Halter Update

Dear Pastor Crowe and Members of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Warm greetings to you from Hong Kong. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your continued generosity in supporting me as a missionary. Thank you again and again. And it was so nice to see Ida Mall and others at the LWML Convention in Omaha. That was such a wonderful experience.
I visit Macau once or twice each month. It is about a three-hour journey one way from my home in Hong Kong to the church in Macau. I travel first by subway train, next by a local Hong Kong bus, then after cross-border formalities, I get on a cross-border Hong Kong/Macau bus. When I get to Macau, I go through immigration formalities and then take a bus or taxi to the church, depending on what time it is.
On Sunday mornings I attend the worship service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and have many opportunities to have one-on-one conversations with the members of the congregation afterwards. We usually have Chinese noontime tea together. Then in the afternoon I teach a Bible class in the home of a middle-aged Christian policeman. I come early each time so that before I start teaching, I fellowship with members of the class who also come early. After the Bible class we all eat together and continue our Christian sharing.

I often invite Christian friends from Hong Kong to join in these activities as a short-term mission team. When an opportunity presents itself, I take the Hong Kong Christians to visit the Concordia Special Education School in Macau.
It is a beautiful thing to see the impact God is having on His children all over the world using members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Again, heartfelt thanks to you for your support. I am ever so grateful.
With you in Christ,
Carol
Missionary to the Chinese People
